What is CSS?

Cascading Style Sheets are a way to present content on web pages by giving more control over HTML markup. The CSS standards are maintained by W3C (World Wide Web Consortium). The primary purpose of utilizing CSS is to separate content from presentation. By using a linked style sheet, web designers can change the look of every page that links to that style sheet.
